Kuzmich and the cats live at the Optina Pustyn monastery in the small Russian town of Kozelsk, according to an article in the Telegraph. His daily ritual, which never changes, involves a processional around the grounds of the monastery with the cats who follow him as he blesses the buildings and grounds. A press officer for the monastery explained that Kuzmich has lived at the monastery for ten years and is the caretaker and guardian of the resident cat colony.
