To preface this story, please note there is no alcohol used in the making of the product discussed below and it has been carefully crafted to be something safe that cats and dogs will enjoy.
We all love our pets and often find ourselves amused by their antis. Take catnip, for example. An herb that makes some kitties a little crazy. It doesn’t have the same effect on all felines, but it can make for some fun entertainment for everyone, cat and human, alike.
The same may also be said of some humans, beer and wine. It can be a fun mix and, honestly, that combination can be equally amusing, depending on the people involved. Most, however, enjoy the social component or the opportunity it presents to unwind at the end of day. Certainly, those who have pets might appreciate being able to share a beverage with their best four-legged pals. That thought was the inspiration for entrepreneur Brandon Zavala’s line of beverages for cats and dogs, Apollo Peak, aptly named after one of his cats. The idea even made it onto the television show Shark Tank.

Apollo Peak was developed to create fine snack beverages that we like to call Cat Wine, Dog Wine, Dog Beer and more for our feline and canine friends. We are animal lovers just like you, and our story is a long and fun one, to which we’ve shared some of our memories here. We currently strive to make a product that not only satisfies your pet’s interest but is safe and non-harmful to your special friends.
Our Cat Wine and Dog Wine creations started like any other radical idea…a product designed to help bridge the social divide between humans and their pets. Our initial thoughts were, “Why not share a drink with our canine and feline friends? We spend so much time with them that they are slowly becoming humans too, right?” In doing this, we wanted to make sure we make a product derived from all organic and natural ingredients. It’s been a difficult ride, but that has stayed true to this day and we will always keep to our promise to make a quality and fun product that we would give our own pets at home. And it seems the Pinot Meow, MosCATo, and Catbernet have kitties going wild. As to the wine labels’ namesake, Apollo isn’t much for the concoction, but still makes for a good-looking mascot, nonetheless. And as a wonderful side note, Apollo was a rescue.
